The American Red Cross office at Fort Lewis is located in Building 1017 on Ninth Division Drive. The normal hours of operation are Monday through Friday, from 0800-1630. The Red Cross at Fort Lewis is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by calling 877-272-7337 in the event of an emergency. The Red Cross is available to handle crisis due to illness, critical accident and death seven days a week. The American Red Cross office also offers classes such as CPR and coordinates a bloodmobile. Emergency Communications

In the event of an emergency, critical accident, illness or death in a service member's immediate family, the American Red Cross should be called
at once.

The American Red Cross is the only agency authorized and equipped to verify the situation
and then forward the information to the proper military authorities.

Should an emergency leave request be necessary, the information provided by the Red Cross is used by the commanding officer so that a decision as
whether or not to grant leave may be made.
